Sometimes, the littlest touches can bring a party to life. From invitations to party favors, I've decided to design all the "extras" for Noah's second birthday party myself.
This weekend, I made my own table-top party labels. These will be used to label the Seusstastical dishes and fun treats we have out.
To start:
You can use whatever software you are comfortable with; for me, it's photoshop.
Create your canvas size. I stuck with 8.5x11", so that printing is easier.
From there, create a gutter of at least .5". This will help with printer run-off. You are left with an inset canvas of 7.5x10". I want to put two on each page, so divide 7.5 in half, for 3.75" width.
Next, I put two "scoring" lines at 2.75" intervals (this will show you where your folds should be). Now, your "template" is all set!
For design: this is where you can really get creative. I designed the patterns I used myself, but you can scan in photos, book pages, or find images from the internet to use. Choose an easy-to-read font, and label away!
When you're done, print your party labels on sturdy card stock.
Cut out your labels (I have a paper cutter, but scissors work too!), then fold along your "scoring" lines.
Use a piece of tape at the bottom, if needed, and voila! You have DIY party labels!
